Liked this ep, was practically in tears at the end. Then just before the credits there was this weird grunt, I think it was Angel saying 'Connor' but it sounded so out of place I couldn't stop laughing Wasn't that funny, but I guess was kinda hysterical...
Angel Season 3, Episode 17: Sleep Tight
Oh. My. God.
What an episode!!!... i don't think i've managed to settle down yet.. an unbelievable episode.. i can't begin to imagine what the repercussions will be.
Wesley was extremely close to the edge... (missed first ten minutes due to eldest throwing a mega-tantrum and waking his sister)... I thought Alexis was just amazing in tonight's episode, truly awesome, the complete antithesis of Wesley the Watcher... the way that he handled Justine initially was breath-stealing... watching and learning from Angel methinks.
Angel going off at the deep end, and hurling the glass of blood off the wall... and it turns out his pig's blood has been tainted with Connor's blood.. making him crave it.. and while Fred did the scientific stuff, it was touching the way Angel refused to hold Connor, not trusting himself.
The confrontation between Lilah and Angel was chilling.. the look in Angel's eyes.. though i was really surprised he didn't physically attack Lilah.. because i think if that were me, i would.
And LOL at Lorne for entertaining Connor with the "brat pack" story.. it really looked as though the babe was taking it all in
But the ending... the way Angel absolutely went after his son.. nothing stood in his way of rescuing him.. like any parent would do i know. Then the awful choice... Holtz taking Connor, or Lilah taking Connor.. then Sahjhan showing up... opening up the hell-dimension portal.. talk about a rock and a hard place. My heart was breaking (speaking as a parent here and not a total die hard Angel fanatic) when Angel told Holtz to take him.. what a situation to be in... and of course, it's the ultimate revenge on Holtz's behalf, after all, it was Angelus with Darla who took his son (killed him).
And Justine slitting Wesley's throat!!!!
As i said before... the repercussions.... wow... brilliant episode

Yeah I enjoyed this episode too. Although I was glad my son is 8, because I'm sure if my son was a baby I wouldn't have enjoyed this episode in the same way. I know that sounds strange but I think any mum with small babies will know what I mean. (Sorry, and dads, I did not mean to sound sexist)
I loved this ep maybe being a parent it kinda had more of an impact on me. And I do agree with you zepherine 100%. The part where Holtz was saying I look after him as I would my own son I thought made me realise that yes he probably would and yes he was at that time the best person to have Connor.
Can't wait for the next ep and what happend to Wes ????? I'm sure he will get found just in time (I hope)

This was a really good episode.
Everyone seems to have their own agenda regarding Conner. Was really surprised when Holtz jumped through the portal.

I liked this episode, it was very good, but it was too bleak for me. There is no one character who provides humour and more - Welsy used to be one brilliant outlet for this. Does anyone remeber the classic Guise will be guise? That said, I think it worked very well along with Buffy yesterday which worked primaraly as a humourous episode. I din't pick up on Angel saying Connor at the end, but I was forced to watch it on an analogue system due to ITV digital so the quality left a lot to be desired. Can you believe the Americans had to wait 5 weeks for the next episode after this? Thats the idea show trash like Glory days and get rid of class shows like Angel. I'm glad to see UPN treat buffy a bit better.

I think what unsettled me was the fact that i am a mum to a baby... and i guess i could empathise to Angel's predicament.. he loves his son beyond anything, and to see him taken away, possibly never to see him again must be horrifying. I thought the "Connor" thing was slightly out of place, but didn't less the impact of it any. Plus ickle Connor was such a cutie to boot... i know if anyone tried to take Hannah from me... i could probably do some serious damage... can't wait for next week's episode...
Another top episode from Angel, I liked Angels early cheerfulness to the bitter end. Holtz has got to be my fave bad guy out of Angel, as ive said before wesley has grown so much with all the hard choices right or wrong he has made. Although nicking plots from xena Angel is doing it much better.

This ep was amazing!! Poor Wesleyhe was only doing what he thought was right
Angel has just been amazing this season it started off a bit dodgy, but I'm loving it again now. If only they would get rid of the Grusalog (however you spell it) he's a bit annoying

I finally saw this yesterday... I seem to have been out too often on weekday nights
An impressive episode, very dark and confusing. I'm still trying to figure out how many players there are at the moment - I think there are 3 not counting Angel and co, but I may be wrong...
With Wesley out of it, and Holtz in another dimension (actually I think he travelled forward a couple of hundred years and went big game hunting on a small rogue planet, but that's another matter ), it will be interesting to see where this goes next.
The only thing that worries me is that I had a flash of the coming plot, and if it's what I think it is, then I'll be a little disappointed (edit: elements in the next episode seem to show I'm wrong, thank goodness!). Basically I'm seeing Connor growing up elsewhere and returning to try and kill Angel - hence 'father kills son'. He might even be Sarjohn! Trouble is, it's been there, done that (DS9, the X-Men), so let's hope I'm wrong!
