Doggett vs. Mulder

I've been watching whatever series of the X-Files is now being shown on BBC2 after a long absence from X-files fandom and I think Robert Patrick's John Doggett is a fantastic character to bring to the show.

Admittedly at first I didn't think I'd like him, but I think the character is a great replacement for Mulder and that Patrick plays him excellently

If anything I think it's brought back the qualities to the show that which it had in it's first couple of seasons. It's also brought me back into the viewing fold.

Anyone else think that Doggett is cool ?

Sange It's only kinky the first time!!! after that it's just the Norm ;o)

I remeber when I watched x-files for the first time with the Doggett character, I was kinds none fussed with him but as time went on I started to like him more and more.

And its kinda strange how there was a complete role reversal with Scully being the believer and Doggett being the none believer , but it worked well

JtB If someone gives you freedom it is not freedom, freedom is something you take for yourself.

It seems a bit fresher with Doggett in I like the character personally.

And hes a lot tougher than mulder.

I like Doggett a lot... definitely tougher than Mulder..

I find i don't miss Mulder as much when Doggett is around.

got to say i miss mulder, but doggett is a really good character, i dunno he brings something new to the show, its nice to have a new character introduced.

I like Doggett. It seems to be more natural for him to be the cynic somehow, and I like the way Scully is now at odds with her own belief system now Mulder is gone, and she is the believer.
