Angel Season 3 Episode 19 : The Price

It wasn't the best episode.. a lot of people found last weeks on the boring side... when i didn't... but i must admit, "The Price" didn't hold my attention very well at all.

A couple of stand out points.. instead of Go Cordy, we've now got "Glow Cordy"... i was like... wow and alternatively wtf???

And "Hi Dad"... next week's show should be interesting

Well sorry but I really didn't rate this Ep at all , infact I turned off before the end , although looks like I probably missed the best bits (typical)

well not one of the best eps but it was ok. Very interesting with "hi dad" at the end.

Not enoughh happening in the big scheme of things for me, whats happening Buffys rubbish Angel is great and now vice versa.

Has angel used all of its good writers this season because buffy needs them back

Suddenly Buffy gets a good ending and the Angel storylines get ripped apart. OK fairly enough this wasn't the most fantastic of episodes although in some respects it mirrored in some ways the Buffy episode by reinterating *this is what happens when you play with dark magic you get feedback with interest*

The whole *Cordy glows* thing was a bit strange - yeah she got rid of the squirmy things and whilst you can't have an explanation for all things unexplainable - it kinda would have been nice

And the whole supposed build up to the Destroyer coming just to have a portal open at the end to throw out grown up Connor was a little bit cheesy.

Unfortunately the episode shows again just how vunerable and scared Fred still is. And oddly enough, how vunerable Groo is feeling when Cordy takes a stand next to Angel (does Groo not realise that Cordy couldn't exactly get *serious* with Angel even if she wanted to )

But in the middle there was a tiny ickle storyline showing that Wesley is around but nobody wants to face up to the fact he wasn't really trying to do a bad thing just because it all totally went pants up and backfired on him. Yes Angel is hurting, he lost his son we appreciate that, but in the long scheme of things Wesley wasn't trying to hurt him - he thought he was trying to help and sooner or later Wesley will have to be forgiven or Wesley will have to leave completely because he can't keep hiding in the background forever.

With the way things are looking on Buffy, its a shame that Wesley can't take a trip back to Sunnydale to be of use with Giles and the gang against Willow

Thought this was a good episode.
Feel sorry for Wesley and I had exactly the same thought as Pegasus regarding him taking a trip back to Sunnydale.
Thought the glowing Cordy was interesting.

Peg: there is an alternative to what could/can happen to Wesley but obviously i can't digress.. (I read spoilers).

And i think it'll take Angel a long, long time to understand why Wesley did what he did, despite Wesley's then good intentions.. all Angel can see or understand is that Wesley took his son. For whatever reasons, he took away the most important person to him and for all intents and purposes, he was never going to see him again.. i know had it been me, i'd be exactly the same.. But i'm sure the writers have got something exciting up their sleeves for us in future episodes/season four

Angel did the same in season 2. The entire Darla plot with Druscilla later was amzing, then it ended and you had four or five episodes of dribble to fill up a season.

I liked the Darla/baby/Holtz stuff but now all three are gone, typical

Episode was certainly better than last week's. And that's about all I can really say about it. Not the worse or the best.

And, just as an aside, I really can't see the point of reading spoilers. Surely it just totally ruins a show knowing what is to come? The impact of what happened to Wesley in 'Angel' and what happened to Tara in 'Buffy' was all the more hard-hitting because I didn't see it coming.

Maybe I'm just old-fashioned.

I take it upon myself to defend said spoiler readers

Firstly, when you read the spolier, the impact of the result is the same as if you saw it, for example, when I read Tara died, I was SSSOOOOO shocked, regardless if it wasn't played out before me. I knew Buffy was meant to die, because of Sky 1's advert, but still 'the Gift' remains one of televisions true great moments, even I cried, EVEN ME!!!!!!!!!!

When I read Mrs Langinham in West Wing was killed in a car crash (in the show) I was shocked. It didn't spoil it for me. I had to take a few minutes to take it in, because I didn't think anyone would die in West Wing, ever.

Yes spoilers take the impact away from the actual viewing, but the impact is there when you read it. It's not lost, it's misplaced

Definitely disappointed with this one

Yes, it's maintaining a good general quality compared to other shows, but this was hardly a standout episode, even if it was better than last weeks. We even got the predictable Grue/Cordy suspicion moment (like we've never seen that one before!).

And I commented a couple of weeks ago that I hoped they wouldn't be doing the "grown-up Connor comes back to kill his father" storyline. I've seen it far too often...

Looks like my hopes were dashed

I'm not about to stop watching or anything but I'm hoping for some improvement soon!
