Channel Four to (finally) Show Angel Season 2

...at about 10.30 on Saturday 8th June. Yep, Eclipse weekend.

Okay, quick poll - is there anyone here who has a) not seen Angel Season 2 and is b) planning to watch it? Because frankly, if no-one here's going to, I don't hold much hope for the rest of the population...

While I'm glad that it's finally getting a terrestrial airing, being at its best some of the finest television I've ever seen, I can't help feeling that showing it this late in the day makes it an irrelevance, when it deserves to be up there with Channel 4s other hyped American shows such as 'The West Wing' and 'The Sopranos'.

Sydney You can lead the whore to culture but you can't make her think!

I haven't seen Angel Season two (except for the season finale) and I don't plan to watch it on Channel 4 I'd rather fork out for the box set. Channel 4 mucked about with it far too much last time, and if it doesn't do that well this time it'll get relegated to a late night mid week slot without them telling us. Plus they are worse than the Beeb for the cuts and with it being on at 8:30pm it'll be shredded.

Finally!

I *really* need to catch up with what's happened - finally got digital a week ago, and am currently watching Angel on Sky One and am totally confused cos I've missed a season and a half!

I'm sure Channel 4 will muck it about again, but as long as I see enough to grasp the plot, I'll be a happy bunny.

Clea Be careful what you wish for... you may get it.

Our local video shop hires all the Buffy and Angel tapes for Â£1.25 so I've already seen it - and judging by how long its taken for me to see all of Angel#2 by that method as the tapes were always out, so has most of Bath!

I won't be watching it, it's on a Saturday and I already have it on tape anyway. Perhaps if they started showing season 3 really quickly they'd get more viewers!

I know - just trundled over to one or two sites on RedWitch's recommendation as well as BuffyGuide and found out enough to explain last night's outing. Still wanna see the eps though!

So was it uncut? When I saw the time, I thought it must be, but you never know with C4!
I would have been so happy at this news, but after the debacle that was S1 I forked out for the boxsets. So no, I won't be watching. Too late in the day, C4!

I think that was how it was filmed. Its at half 10 for crying out loud! They left Scream Uncut when they showed it at the same time, why would Angel be any different?

I bought the DVDs, big surprise that. Bet that C4 mke major cuts, probably lossing at least one third of the entire series (ie, going pan & scan as Angel is shot wide-screen)

Yep, I have heard of the watershed, thanks. But this is C4 we are talking about - the normal rules of logic do not necessarily apply!
