The BBC has apparently hired David Fury (Buffy and Angel writer) to develop a new version of Doctor Who, and Tony Head is 'in the running' to play the Doctor.
Interesting...
edit: Ah, after some more reading, it seems it's only a rumour. Someone did apparently visit the Buffy producers, but nothing's happening. Still, it'd be cool if it did.

Sydney You can lead the whore to culture but you can't make her think!
I'd love to see Tony Head as The Doctor - it would be sooooooooooo good.
Plus more of Tony on the telly is never a bad thing :drools:
foulksey Tell me Raziel. Did it trouble you to murder your brothers?
There's been several runmours about a new Dr Who being created ever since they made the last latest film. Nothing came of any of the others though, so lets hope theres some substance nin this. I think Tony Head would make a great Doctor!
I think that's the general opinion and it seems more likely that Buffy-people are going to have a hand in it too although at the moment ASH is only a rumour!!!

Dangermouse One more word from you , and i'll bitch slap you so hard, your children will be born well-behaved.
If they do make a new series, hope it's more like the original rather than the likes of Sylvester McCoy and Ace.
I remember we weren't allowed to watch it cos it scared my sister too much
