Well, i'm not exactly a physicist, but watching that season finale, that box went a heck of a long way down before it hit the ocean floor.. and over a period of two or three months of it being down there, surely the immense water pressure would buckle the metal?.. therefore eventually causing any cables to snap?. I'm sure someone will enlighten me.

The job they did of sealing the box was more geared to keeping angel in rather than keeping water out, so I would have expected the box to have flooded and so balance the pressure.

Real-world underwater engineers are quite capable of constructing pressurised boxes capable of withstanding immense pressures (eg submarines) Connor and Thingie weren't engineers, and did a rushed job, so the odds of the box being waterproof are pretty slim, one of the welds will go if nothing else.

Something else i've heard is the Angelus returning story is pretty strong.. i've heard that Angelus is needed to fight a "big bad" as only Angelus can handle him/her/whomever.. but afterwards Angelus escapes... I must admit, that sounds interesting.. It could also tie in with the rumours of Eliza Dushku appearing sometime in the season too

ok i've read fred dies, but cordy brings her back to life. angels box breaks and he gets out after being there for a few months but hes in the 1st ep. lorn returns in ep 3 when they all go to vegas. cordy comes back down after she does somethnig wrong but loses her memory. connor finds out the truth about how holtz died, faith retunrs mid season to take on angelus. angel turns into angelus purposely in order to kill a demon, but they can't return him and he escapes so need faith to kill him. havn't seen anything about wes yet though. this could be all rubbish but it sounds sorta good.

okay - had anyone else heard about Carisma having 'personal problems' and that being why they wrote in a season ending that could mena she never came back??? Someone at wor mentioned this today and it was teh first i'd heard of it

If she never intended going back after the season finale then she certainly never mentioned anything at eclipse, and there's been nothing else heard about it.. sounds like one of those weird rumours to me..

Yeah, it was rumoured that she had "personal problems" and that was why she "went on vacation" with Groo part way through season three. She will be back in Season Four, and she will be a cast regular.

Okay to dispel a few rumours...

Angel's box doesn't just break, he's recovered by Wesley who'd since bumped uglies with Lylah and captured and imprisoned Miss Noclueholtzkillertype in his cupboard.

Wes frees Angel and brings him back to the hotel where he sets Connor straight and then promptly kicks him out of the house.

Lylah goes over (or rather under) Mr Greyanddistinguished's head to a senior partner..

Cordy's line in her higher level being place at the end of the first ep - "I'm so bored"
