It keeps you watching, I'll give it that..
Still, I'd prefer if it didn't rely quite so heavily on plot twists that appear out of absolutely nowhere.

Because of shift work havent managed to watch a single episode, but from what's been said on chat appears to be a good show

I loved it. can't wait for the next series. I may just buy the DVD box set out of my HMV vouchers I won at work yesterday
Wow, what a series... and what an ending! I'm so glad they didn't use the alternative one that's on the DVD as that one is pants. At least no one could say they saw it coming. Roll on season 2.
I'm a bit miffed - I missed big chunks of 24 somewhere in the middle, forgot that the other one was the last too..
I'd buy the DVD's but I'm erm.. skint.

Apparently theres quite a lot miossing from the DVDs that was broadcast on BBC. Basically the BBC got extra footage through not showing adverts which for most of the episodes only boiled down to approx 6/7 seconds, but for the last 5 eps the extra footage amounted to a minute and for the very last episode there is a minute and a half extra.
The region 2 DVDs have been pressed using the US broadcast without the missing material and in the case of the last episode two pretty important conversations are missed out (well okay so they aren't that important but they do enhance the final episode and make sense of a couple of things) The really stupid thing is that the VHS collection has been put together from the BBC broadcast

You can read the full story here. It probably makes much more sense than what I just wrote

24 DVD sets recalled
The DVD box set of hit TV show 24 has been recalled by 20th Century Fox following a blunder.
A production error means the final two discs in the six-disc set are missing 90 seconds of footage.
Replacement discs will be available in four or five weeks.
The video box set does not suffer from the same cuts.
Anyone who wishes to exchange their affected discs can do so by sending the original, complete with a covering letter, to: 20th Century Fox, Freepost 38LON203004 London W1E 3HG.
So there you go

Yeah, how gutted were we to discover that it hadn't actually paid off to pre-order on Amazon this time? Oh well, at least we can probably get the affected discs changed... it's just hassle, that's all.
Glad - i spotted this - have only watched the first 3 discs so far
