Jury is out on this one for me, though i'll keep watching it for the time being I watched it for 45 minutes (missed the first 15 which in hindsight, i shouldn't have ) so i couldn't really follow the story.
Witchblade on Sci-Fi
It's on now!
HISTORY
For thousands of years it has existed. An intelligent, symbiotic weapon of incredible power. A living gauntlet that becomes one with its wearer. The Witchblade: Only women of unmatched strength of mind, body and will have ever successfully worn it. Its legacy has created a warrior bloodline back through time and forward into the future. Joan of Arc wielded the blade as did other great warrior women throughout the ages. But to wear the Witchblade is to be both its master and its servant, as this mysterious weapon draws to it what it needs and casts aside what it does not. Stirring to life at times of crisis -- during wars, famines, pestilence -- the Witchblade has been used to cut a swath of blood and viscera through the ranks of previously insurmountable evil. For decades it has lain dormant, but now in the early days of the 21st century, the Witchblade has chosen a new bearer of its power.... and its curse.

The Pilot sets things in context more, it doesn't match up to the original comic, but then you can get away with a lot more in a comic than you can a tv show..

Not sure what episode we are up to on sky (suspect its about 7 or 8) but I'm really enjoying this more now the story is getting meatier with all the deviant elements.
Everything is related says Sarah Pezzini and it appears all that is true.
Loving the character Gabriel, he's so desperate to become Sarah's confidant, yet you have to worry for his health sometimes.

The first season looks likely to carry on showing straight from the first (the first is only 12/13 episodes I think)
Witchblade apparently was cancelled at the start of the second season, though i think some episodes were filmed.
There is definalty a second season of 12 episodes about the same lengh as the first. It seems to be a new trend having half seasons as The Dead Zone is only 13 episodes in length.
Damn! That's yet *another* one down then.. What the heck is going on with all these show cancellations??
