The Dead Zone
The Dead Zone is on Sci-Fi at 9pm
{The Dead Zone}
Based on the characters and story from the best-selling book by Stephen King, The Dead Zone is a unique psychological thriller that combines a rich mix of action, romance, the paranormal and a continuing quest for justice. Johnny Smith (Anthony Michael Hall) has awakened from a six-year coma to find life has gone on and changed all around him — and that he has developed amazing psychic powers that allow him to see into the lives of anyone he touches. Nicole de Boer and David Ogden Stiers co-star.

Oh fiddle! I forgot it was on... dang.
Ooh, cheers Peg
Yes I thought it was rather good, which is great as all my fave show seem to be finishing or about too
Again, I have been lucky enough to see the whole of the first season of The Dead Zone already and can I just say - *WOW* it just got better for me
Fantastic story that sometimes took a nice little twist the way I totally wasn't expecting it. This has so much potential for Season 2 which starts again in the US in January.

As I'm tending to watch Dead Zone on the repeated Sunday slot I'm always a week behind.
The episode where Johnnie finds out about his mother committing suicide was a little obvious for me. Thinking about this too much, it must now be harsh on him and his mother's spirit that she killed herself because she thought she had lost him.
Have any of the episodes stated how long ago she died - how many years after him slipping into the coma did it happen?
When the fancy dress party scene came on I almost wondered on announcing the forthcoming baby whether we'd find out if the Rev wasn't really Johnnie's father ... ok way too many thoughts, and I suspect that if I'd ever read the book or seen the original film that I would know this!
But I really enjoy episodes that make me think
I believe there's 13 eps in the 1st series so that's about halfway through already

And am looking forward to seeing a pivotal character from the book as it is played by one of my favorite actors.

Still watching and still loving...
We may not have spoken for a while hon but I see our taste in programmes hasn't changed!
I love it, love it, love it - roll on the release on Region 2!
Just seen the last episode of the season and wow it was excellent about how important Johnnys destiny is. And the last scene was excellent. And one of my favorite actors (Sean Patrick Flannery)excellently playing Greg Stilson.
Anyone know whether next season is gonna be a full one or another 13 episode one, it starts in the states in January and I bet we wont get it for ages.

From what i've read, i think it's another 13 episode season, though i think it really does qualify for a 22 ep run and i know Sci-Fi are planning to show the second season (they mentioned that it'll return "next year" during the final credits) so it'll probably be next Summer/early Autumn again Dunno if i can wait that long!!.
You dont have to the second season begins on the 10th Feb at 9pm acording to Cult Times.
