I hadn't even heard that they'd filmed it!!!
The last rumours I heard (cos I hadn't been actively looking so as not to spoil S7) were that the scenes set in England were to be used in Buffy rather than in the spin off show.

It was put on hold because Joss was busy with 'Firefly' and other stuff.

I guess it might happen now, but there's been no news for several months.

SFX: "How long will we have to wait for Ripper?"

JW: "A long time."

You can't help but feel a little aggrieved with Joss. We know he likes to be manically busy but, by trying to take on so much work, it inevitably means that something he has planned, and fans get excited about, either fall by the wayside or get delayed for long periods of time.

Which isn't always his fault. The animated series didn't happen because no-one wanted it. As far as I know, he was contractually obliged to do a show for Fox, hence 'Firefly'.

Personally I find it hard to feel aggrieved while he's still bringing us great TV. Perhaps a more sensible approach would be to not get too excited about something until it actually goes into production...
