Fluffy and Angle spoilage
Long time no spoil, and there's looaaads floating around at the moment -- much of which I'm suprised to have heard little mention of here, so without further ado let's ruin your enjoyment of a few mid-season buffy and angel eps...
SPOILERS HO...
Squillions of slayer-wannabees all over the place, you can't move without tripping over a few more potential ninja cheerleaders; it's just aswell new ones keep showing up in Sunny D cos there are bugger all Watchers left to look after them (bitcas ruined half my fanfic by wiping out the Watchers, grrr...), though those that do make it to chez Summers without being black-hoody-knifed to death don't get much chance to rest up as the Buffster can't save them all from the pointy-teethed machiantions of the super-vamp and his boss Dr Evil.
Doc Evil (or "Firstie" as his friends call him) has spotted a weakness in the slayer lineage and is taking the opportunity to wipe out these pesky kids (and their tweed-clad mentors) once and for all. What could this weakness posssibly be? Well waddaya know it's all Fluffer's fault for coming back from the dead again, and again, and again... I've been saying for aaaaages that we should just let her die, but does anybody listen to me? Oh no. All this trouble could've been avoided if Will had taken my advice and gone out to dinner with me instead of resurecting her best friend.
Speaking of W, she's got a new squeeze -- one of the new potential slayers no less; courting goes swimmingly except for a brief turning-into-the-guy-she-flayed-alive glitch caused by a mischevious ex-rat. Kennedy (W's gf, who my money's on will survive the season; wacky, gambly long-term bet I know, but I've get this funny feeling when I watch her and Willow...) is a bit old to get called, so helps co-ordinate the training of the of potentials.
Spike still dosn't chase the other puppies, but that may need to change if he's going to be much use to the scoobs in saving the world; why are they so hesitant, he's all soulfull now and wouldn't hurt a fly, not like before when he was all big-bad and killed principal Hottie's mum -- gee, do I get the feeling there might be a little tension coming here? Still it was her fault, she should have been able to handle herself she was a Slayer afterall (*flashback* punk spike versus funky afro-hair girl on an NY train).
Xandy dates a girl who look suspiciously like Ashanti, guess how well that goes Gyles might be dead, but JW's sense of self-preservation is probably good enough to realise that the fan reaction wouldn't be very good for his health.
Fluffer time-travels back to deserty-place-in-Africa where she meets the shamen (the very first watchers) who created the first slayer and... should I really spoil all this for you? I dunno... beg if you want to know
Over in LA-land... hoom where are we all up to? Y'all know Cordy re-appears having been cast out of *wherever* for helping Angie, but she forgets to bring her memory with her and quickly shacks up with Con? Well you do now. Cordy gets her memory back, via a rather dull everybody-loses-recent-memory ep, funny in places, but yawnfull and un-arc-advancing in general. THE BEAST (baddie) appears, slaughters, pillages and jaywalks; mocks the goodies feeble attempts to destroy it (brief surreal interlude while I envisage the Goodies fighting THE BEAST), pays a vistit to Wolfram & Hart, kills everyone. Yes, everyone; they're dead Dave; they're *all* dead Dave.
Somebody misplaces the Sun; vamps and other non-goodies rejoice.
Somebody says "hey I've got a great idea -- let's remove Angie's soul, cos maybe evil-angie will be able to help us fight THE BEAST". Genius. Guess what happens, go on... see if you can guess
So while everyone is trying to figure out first how to replace the soul, and then wtf the soul has gone to, evil-angie makes good his escape, kills Lilah (noooooo! ) and tootles off to visit THE BEAST.
Black-hoodie guys from Sunny D make it to LA, or at least to the womens prison just outside the city; and *how* one-sided is that fight . Wes pops in to see his favourite ex-torturer, and tells her that everyone isn't rosey; brief nice mushy moment between them before Faith escpae by throwing herself and Wes through a passing window.
Back in the hotel Faith takes charge, which everyone reacts predictabley to, they quibble over whether to kill angie or just tell him he's a very naughty boy.
Faith, Wes, Gunn and Con go Angie-hunting, get ambushed by THE BEAST and pummled into the dust, before evil-Angie appears and kills THE BEAST, but in doing so brings the Sun back (d'oh); the tattered and bruised F,W,G&C stage a cautious tactical withdrawl. Evil-Angie has achieved what he wanted -- and attracted the attention of THE BEAST's (should he really still be capitalised now he's dead? I think he gets demoted to lowercase)... the Beast's Master. Angie and The Master chat.
Should I tell you the biggie spoiler? Hmmm... beg... plead... grovel you pathetic worms... Oh, sorry, must remember to take the pills. But I'm still not going to say unless you ask *vewwy* *vewwy* nicely
Willow in Angel for ep 15? Faith in Buffy for eps 16 onwards? Yay! Cute girls all over the place.
All done, bye-bye.

They also keep making subtle hints about Buffy having to die (again, again, again) to stop The First, and Xander "I see more than anyone realises, because noone is watching me" and from Dawn to Xander - "Maybe that's your power - seeing, knowing.." - or even watching??
It also looks very much like Kennedy is being lined up as the next slayer, she's pretty much the only one with any decent lines, and anything of interest too.
It really looks like they could in fact squeeze an eighth and final series out of Buffy to tie up all the loose ends, and setup any new series, or movies or whatever.
Angel, hmm, now that's tricky, hasn't the whole "turn-one-of-the-gang-evil" thing been done before somewhere? oh yeah.. Doh! Cordy being really evil? Hmm I wonder how many episodes that's going to last for..
Looks like Gwen Raiden (Notice the Mortal Kombat reference there with all the lightning/electricity zappiness.. Sliiick ) Might be either lined up for a permanent position on the team (or at least a regular a la Lorne), or she's going to get close(r) to Angel then die terribly thanks to evil-cordy (Hmmm sounds interesting ) or something similar..
*Ponders and wanders off for now*

I thought she was just being lined up as Willows new girlfriend myself...

That too, but from what we've seen of her so far, she's been by far the most "Slayer-like" in terms of attitude.

But for her (or any other new slayer) to be called wouldn't Faith have to die, seeing as Buffy isn't the "active" slayer anymore, or will they convieniently "forget" about that?
Okay, the plot thickens..
In Buffy 7.15:
Buffy time-travels through a portal to find the origins of the first slayer. The portal is opened using a book that Wood found in a bag of his mom's things. Buffy finds out how some very old African men (who speak Swahili) created the first slayer using dark magicks. She is chained up and subjected to the same painful ritual that was used to create the original slayer. They try to merge her with a demon. They tell her that she is the last Slayer.
The last slayer you say? Ummm did someone forget about Faithy? Or perhaps this is another one of those misdirections Joss et al are so fond of..

I'm not sure there is such a thing - Buffy, Faith and Kendra have all been very different. Actually, Kennedys attitude seems closest to Faith, and Buffy is, or certainly was in the early days, probably the least 'Slayer-like'.

And wasn't this the point (or one of them, anyway) of 'Potential'? Even the most unlikely looking of candidates can be a potential Slayer, and given that we don't know what criteria the actual Slayer is chosen by, it could be any one of them. Kennedy has already said, though, that it's possible that she's too old for it now (the shooting script for 'Bring on the Night' says she's 19, which is of course in no way to make sure she's old enough to stop people complaining if/when anything does happen between her and Willow).
What I'm getting at is that Kennedy's character is the only one that seems like it will be staying, all the others seem very "disposable" if you get what I mean..
The Kennedy character already seems a *lot* more rounded and finished off, the others just seem like filler more than anything else.

Theres also a spoiler about that new principal geezer, hes suppsoed to be the son of the slayer that spike killed in the 70s and the first tells him that spike killed his mum and he goes after spike.
Yup.
Also willow comes to LA in order to restore angels soul. Faith nearly dies when angelus bites her, but she injected herself with a drug before hand so angel faints as faiths nearly dead, they then both end up in a dream faith and angelus watching angels life of donig good deeds. then angel comes along and helps faith to fight angelus in the dream. faith then suddenly wakes up and runs jsut in time to stop angel being staked by Connor. Connor wanted to stake him as Evil Cordy told him to and said it would not be safe for their baby. Willow then takes Faith back to Sunnydale to help fight the First.
I agree, the other potentials are extremely unsure of themselves (although that can be understandable if they are a lot younger and very untrained)

Talking of fillers - can they *please* kill off the one with the very daft english accent, her voice is really grating

ok i think in episode 17 angel finds the real cordelias body unconcious so the cordy thats there now is not her body. Then some woman called Jasmine coems along for 3 episodes, she has coem to help rid demons that came cuz of the darkness. She then says she can help save the real Cordelia if Angel adn the gang help her but she brainwashes them and everyone else into worshipping her all except a guy in a mental hospital and Fred, then they are all out to get Fred as she does not worship Jasmine. Not sure if Jasmine ahs something to do with the fake Cordelia or not though
Ok few more things, some guy called Caleb comes into buffy and hes the big bad that they need to kill in order to stop the first evil. They have a confrontation and he kills one of the slayers, i think tis molly if memory serves, then he puts his finger in xanders eyes and xander is now blind in one eye. Buffy and faith dissagree as faith takes the potentials to the school to hide but buffy is not happy, all the potential side with faith and buffy tells them shes in charge but they don't listen. Angel coems back ni the alst episode, joyce is also in it, not sure about the rest of the angel cast or other past cast members, i read jenny would come back some how, but now i don't think she does.
