I've watched it a few times now, once to actually watch the programme the rest to try and spot my cousin, who was an extra. He spent most of his time as one of the nameless people, walking/sitting/fighting/dying/dead, in the background. On one occassion dressed as a German sentry he fell asleap, they left him asleap, he then became dead German sentry.

It's not like typical war shows/movies which tend to show the glamourous side of war and where the nameless people die and the people you know are killed in a heroic way.
