I saw a report that reckoned that Riley would be back for an episode soon.

I hope his appearance is not too brief. It might be good to see his reaction to the news that Buffy and Spike are in a "business relationship" (building demolition!!)

Would he stake Spike? Could Spike arrange Riley's demise?
There has been a long standing rumour that someone dies this series who is or has been a Scoob. Maybe its Riley!!??
That would certainly get some closure on the Buffy/Riley relationship.
Unless Buffy really annoys Willow and she ressurects him! That really might be hell on Earth!!

Yeah, I read an article in one of the sci-fi mags (Starburst maybe?) which mentioned that Riley will return having had a busy time demon-hunting in deepest jungle (or summat).

Riley was a nice guy. I read somewhere he comes back married! Then again, I've also heard he comes back demonised somehow (vamped or something) so anything's possible. I believe it's just for a single episode.

married would be cool coz that would mean there was little chance of him staying.
Not sure about him being demonized because it kinda sounds like the angel thing...buffy having to agonize over killing him...or spike could do it.

hes in an ep called "as you were" he comes back to hunt a demon..couldn't tell a lot from the clip on the UPN besides that theres a scene with Buffy, Spike and Riley (should be fun ) in which Spikes says "over my dead body" and riley replys "i've seen enough of your dead body"...it'll probably make more sense once i've seen it...
but i'm hoping buffy chooses Spike over Riley
