Interesting. As they said in the article, the first series tailed off a bit in places and so this could be quite a fresh and different approach. Phone booth worked well with a real-time scenario and I think 24 could do the same. It would have to be a Die Hard style hostage situation that could be resolved in 2 hours, but I think it could possibly work.

More and more films are being stretched out to two hours, two hours twenty, three hours or whatever in length; perhaps this will just be the first 24 hour movie, though I suspect cinema seats could get rather uncomfy after a day or so.

This sort of thing has been done before on film. 'Nick of Time', a Johnny Depp vehicle. A thriller played out in real time over about 1hr 50. Worked quite well as long as you didn't pay too much attention to the countdown clock.
Seen some of that, too. Pretty cool... mind you, it's gotta be: it's got Christopher Walken in it, for Pete's sake!
