I'm very, very happy with this news And the direction the series sounds like its going in, it sounds excellent.

goody about cordy going yaye, was getting sick of her! though not so happy about Spike going in to Angel. Whats gona happen to the whole 'vampire with a soul gets shansu and all that?' i was never happy with spike getting a soul and it really does smack of how else can we keep james Marsters employed?

Hmmm... not convinced by the spike-joining-angel-thing, and though I'll not miss this seasons Cordy it's a shame to lose her from the series as circa S3 she was becoming a usefull and likeable member of society. Plus she was a teensy bit curvier that Fred; hopefully if she does go then the replacement girl (because hey, there will be a replacement girl) will be at the curvy, rather than boney, end of things.

Great news! Pity about Cordelia.

Well, i would imagine the replacement girl will be Electro-Gwen, if they don't want to bring in someone else completely new. She's curvier than Fred, i think?

I think Gwen would be an ideal replacement or alternative to Cordelia.

Hmmm, and no Vincent Kartheiser mentioned (i have read a review of the Season Finale and i do know what happens to his character).I'd heard rumblings that his character may be returning but not sure under what circumstance.. possibly a recurring role?.

Having seen the finale I can only assume that he will come back in some shape or form. For me his character went very downhill and whinging. When he first appeared I wasn't particularly fond of the character, but looking back, I prefered his story before the whole Cordelia thing (a case of necessity I guess though ) after that he just burned straight down (with the only perk being when Faith showed up)

Excellent news, and it's extremely promising to see that Spike will be joining proceedings. There's so much opportunity to play him and Angel off against each other.

The backdoor pilot to Angel Mark Two (otherwise known as the season finale) was very promising, and the cast remains strong. Angel season 4 may have slacked off with its final few episodes, but it remained entertaining, witty stuff, and it would be a crying shame to loose it when it's so comfortably into its stride.

Roll on September and let's hope all those creative juices are freely flowing!

But, much as I worship James Marsters, I hope they think hard about how they're going to use Spike in the show. If I were David Boreanaz, I wouldn't have let JM come within a mile of "Angel", knowing his tendency to be such an annoying little scene stealer!

He is at that, i have to admit, but personally, i don't think David has anything to worry about

And did anyone see E Channel last night and the E News Live slot at 7pm? it mentioned the confirmation of Angel being reviewed and a very brief word with David.. and thank God his hair is a little longer! (Sunnydale Girl will know what i'm talking about here ) He looked very... nice shall we say

three things that no doubt will get me into trouble

Firstly I personally find Amy Acker better looking than Charisma Carpenter.
Secondly I almost stopped watching Angel because I found Cordelia so bloody annoying, so I'm happy with getting shot of that character.
Thirdly I had actually hoped that Spike would go into Angel and fulfill the prophecies so I'm happy with that (Spikes more charismatic and far better looking than Angel)

Edit: not to sure about Gwen, but as long as they write her in well she should work.
