Angel Season Four: Episode 19 "Magic Bullet"

Interesting episode. An improvement on last week's.

Fred is essentially alone. Being stalked by everyone and being watched by everyone on Jasmine's "behalf".

Angel finally saw Jasmine for what she is via the "magic bullet" that Fred fired and it was/is blood transference that makes people see her "true" face. The look on Angel's face when he finally did was cool.

I think the episode began to hot up from then on in. And what is up with Connor?, didn't the blood transference thing work with him?, obviously not, and i wonder why?. The only possibility being that he's Jasmine's father.

But that final betrayal! eek!

and LMAO at the kareoke, at Connor and Angel singing the song "Mandy" but swapping the name with "Jasmine".. and anyone recognise the guitarist in the back ground?

. (just happened to be former Ozzy guitarist Zakk Wylde)

Again, i'm hoping the season will pick up a little zip before the finale, there are only three episodes left and i'd hate to see it fall so flat after a cracker of a season so far. Someone prove me wrong!!!

Thought this was a good ep.
Yeah I was wondering why Conner couldn't see Jasmine's true face,that's probably the reason.
That was a good twist.
Yuck that she's eating her worshippers.

Thought this was an okay epsiode...things seem to have slowed down a bit recently though

Thought it was all a bit neat how the gang managed to be 'cured' so easily...I knew Conner wasn't cured...it must be something to do with his blood.

3 episodes to go so heres hoping for a hot ending to the series

Tiny nitpick, that doesn't really matter, but why did Fred and Angel have to see Jasmine when everyone else knew just with the blood?

Yeah I was thinking that last night...Angel was going to kill Fred until he saw JAsmine..so how come Wes, Gunn and Lorne just took the fact on faith??

Keenangel *Fourteen phonecalls a night??!!*

Well Angel was contaminated with Jasmine's blood via the bullet. And Fred told him to look at Jasmine. I'm just wondering if with the other guys, once they were contaminated with her blood or at least with Cordelia's blood (remember they weren't given Jasmine's blood), they just knew.. that it was just an instinctual thing?.

Ferretgirl Make something idiot-proof and they will make a better idiot

Thought this episode was much better than last week's but sitll not up to the usual standard of heading towards a season finale.

Saw Zakk Wylde on there too which was very cool - i'd been looking for him in the last few episodes.

i kinda thought that Connor wasn't going to be cured - should be good to see how that turns out. And hopefully like others have said, it will gather pace before the season finale

Alf For every complex problem there is a solution that is simple, neat... and wrong!

The idea of Fred being alone and having to "rescue" the others was great. I'm not sure it was done very well though.
The scenes in the "cave" with the little demon were ridiculous and didn't make sense to me.

Neither did the Conversion of Wesley, Gunn and Lorne without looking at Jasmine make sense.

I agree that after producing some of the best cliff hanging endings and generally good episodes this "Jasmine as the big bad" phase sucks!!

I agree that after producing some of the best cliff hanging endings and generally good episodes this "Jasmine as the big bad" phase sucks!!

Yeah, after such a good season, it's ending as rather a damp squid. It's almost like one of those massive fireworks you get that promises a massive explosion and then lets out one or two sparks and dies once you light it. Or like one of the writer's said to their 10 year old child, "Okay, son, you finish it off for Daddy", coz it kinda smacks of how a child would write ...."And then Jasmine came out of Cordy's tummy and all her friends were hypnotised and they became bad and then Fred was chased and then she made her friends good again and then all of them were chased again....". etc, etc.

I honestly don't know what Joss and co were thinking but I'm majorly disappointed by how this season is being concluded so they'd better have one helluva finale in store to make up for it! When you consider the show has had the likes of Angelus, Darla and Dru and the machinations of Wolfram and Hart (who truly were evil personified), Jasmine is lame in comparison.

At least on Buffy they are fighting the First Evil and a very scary preacher in Caleb. Now he gives me goose bumps.
