Anyone watch this?

For the uninitiated, this is about a former policeman/private investigator called Frank Taylor, who, after chasing a wanted felon, is stabbed and fatally injured, or so we think. He has a near death experience and comes back, but here's the twist, he can see dead people.

His history is that his son went missing from his bed two years before. He and his wife heard a noise in his bedroom but ignored it, thinking it was the storm. Next morning they find their son missing. Frank tortures himself over it and blames himself and subsequently he and his wife Jess, divorce. She works for the DA office.

He's looking for a missing boy called Billy. And he's determined to find him, and with help from otherworldly people, he does.

I really enjoyed this. It was dark and suspensful (is that even a word?). It reminded me a little of Angel and also, for some reason, Brimstone as well as The Dead Zone (whose popularity i think it drew from). It drew me in from the beginning and held my attention completely til the conclusion.

Unfortunately this promising series was cancelled in the US and only a few episodes were aired. This is such a shame as i feel it had great potential.

(And why was this cancelled and the substandard Mutant X recommissioned i'll never know)

Frank Taylor is played by Matthew Fox, who some of you may remember as Charlie Salinger in "Party of Five".
