HELP!!!! Does anyone remember

Can someone help me, i can remember this childrens tv show from when i was about 4 so that was 1991 but i can't remember what it was called!

What i seem to remember is it was about a bunch of teenages in a hotel sort of place and there were these gnomes in the garden sitting on upside-down flowers pots and when everyone was inside the tv camera used to do a close up on the gnomes and the next thing you saw was real people dressed up as the gnomes (to show they had come to life) having a chat and telling joke.

When ever i ask my mum if she remembers me watching this she thinks im mad

Please tell me im not mad!!!!

I'm thinking this *might* have been 'Why don't you..' (at least I think thats what it was called) Was an early mornign show and they used to do things like going ice skating and stuff. Was full of teenagers in a club house and people used to send pictures in and stuff.

I *vaguely* remember a program like the one you describe so if it ain't 'Why don't you' then I'll maybe remember the name of it.

I don't think it was 'Why Don't You'.
I can vaguely remember what it is you're refering to, but I was too old to have been paying much attention to 'children's TV'.

OH MY GOD!! I've just had a flashback..this used to be on during the day..it was a lunchtime program but the name escapes me...I just remember it was on at lunchtime because it was this and 'Rosie & Jim' that were lunchtime viewing in my house.

Yeah it was shown at lunchtime when i was very, very 'ickle,
then when i was a 'ickle bit older it was shown on holliday mornings

OMG! I used to love The Riddlers! Can't remember much about it now though, only that I used to love it. Did Martin Clunes do the narration for that or am I thinking of something else..?
