Firefly, thoughts?...
Anyone buzzed about Joss' new outer space show he calles the 'anti trek'? Basically meaning no bumpy forehead aliens (well, no aliens period), no cute kids, no 'everything reset' by next weeks ep. No clawing PC, no big moralistic speaches so we know who the good guy is, not bleached sex free language free, anger free leading characters.
Personally , it sounds just what we need, I mean Farscape has gone as far on the weird and way out end of the spectrum. Enterrise tows the company line, however well, seems to be a market...

I am really looking forward to this with interest as I want to see what he has in store for the cast he has so far lined up.

I have pretty much a full rundown which ill post shortly.
JtB you raise an interesting pont, scifi seems to be full of creators that hit it big but never seem to recreacte the magic.
Gene Rodenberry gave us Star Trek, and then ermmm... Genesis 2 anyone?
Chris Carter, X files, then ermm, Harsh Realm, Lone Gunmen, Millennium
JMS, Babylon 5, then Crusade and....?

JMS gave us the some good Amazing Spider-man and then there the new show Jerimiah which looks good.
As for Joss guess it's wait and see if he can pull it off again.

Yup, looking forward to this a lot. It'll be odd to see Joss doing something not set in the Buffy-verse, although of course quite a few films have elements of his work in them...
Only problem is, he's so busy with this at the moment, we're almost certainly not gonna get any more Joss written/directed Buffy this season.
