How Angel dispatched of the werewolf was different!
Angel 5.03: "Unleashed" Discussion Thread.
I did like this episode.
How Angel dispatched of the werewolf was different! and his determination to track down the girl bitten by it. With some luck he's beginning to find his mission in life again. He and Spike still sparked well off each other. I liked the scene when Spike told them it took him an hour to fight a werewolf that almost cost him his hand and Fred told him Angel killed it with a pen
The scene between Angel and Nina in the office was nice too, the analogy of living with/as a monster. Angel calling himself a monster, the stammering... and Nina's innocuous question if he was like Frankenstein and self conscious Angel touching his forehead (LOL!)
Fred refused to be swayed by Spike and his impending fading away permanently. She's getting stronger personality wise and it's only a good thing.
Wes got a tad jealous of Knox, the way he spoke so sharply at her at the "picnic" at the beginning of the episode.
The restaurant part, the villain of the episode sort of came up all of a sudden. There was no hint of it until Nina was kidnapped. It almost felt like a filler.
But it was a good episode, i liked it.

Fun episode. Good to see some lycanthropy (hey, excuses to use that word don't come often) in Angel, though the costumes, American Werewolf In London they are not. Dr Phlox from Enterprise was a welcome guest star; John Billingsley is a good actor and will hopefully find himself a decent roll after his trainwreck of a series lives up to its accolade. I wouldn't mind seeing Nina again, for reasons of character, you understand ...
We've got some good stuff coming up next time around!

got my tape with the episodes on, hooray! Really liked it! I liked the scene at the end which just showed them all together in Angels apartment those scenes show how they're still a team! Im really enjoying this series so far!! x
I always like it when he pops up in different series - although he is getting rather typecast as a doctor/psycologist with Enterprise, the Others (which was a damn good series cut short

Hopefully she'll become a recurring character around the full moon cycle (only 3 days a month ) Maybe they can draft Oz in

I must admit the only thing that surprised me the whole episode was Nina being kidnapped for eating - I didn't see that coming. There I was imagining a range of things including that the *restuarant bloke* was a werewolf himself who fancied mating, or a bloke that wanted to become a werewolf who needed biting.
On other fronts, Wes is really going to have to calm down his jealously - heck you don't see Gunn getting jealous (although I suppose he's already had his bit of Fred in the past ) Poor old Gunn, maybe he does have a timebomb in his head, but having everyone else getting paranoid is quite amusing.
At the end when Angel was showing off his apartment - do they not all live in the W&H buildings now?
