Smallville 3:04: "Slumber" Discussion Thread

A bit late, i know.

This was an interesting episode. Not one of the best, but interesting all the same.

Can't argue about the opening scenes

(Clark skinnydipping can't be a bad thing IMHO

)

I kind of felt like it was a dream when his parents gave him the keys to that huge truck. And Lex discovering his secret, promising to tell the world. And Chloe dismantling her "Wall of Weird"

Again Pete barely got a look in and that was in a dream sequence.

The SFX in this episode was very good with "The Traveller". Cheesy but good cheesy

I go the impression that Chloe relly had dismantled the 'Wall of Wierd' because of her conversations with Lionel the previous week... but maybe I missed something.

For a moment I thought we were going to see Arse-Kicking-Lana again, but thankfully that didn't materialise!

I liked the return to the kind of story we got in season 1 of Smallville. It was a nice lull, but I hope they go back to moving the story on properly next week.

So was the 'Wall of Weird' dismantled in real time or in the dream?
I came away with the impression it was real time but maybe i was mistaken.

Actually Bryany, it's repeated on E4 on Sunday at 8pm and 9pm on +1 (and usually they're slightly edited also)

Spoke to a friend about the Wall of Weird. It was definitely in Clark's dream that it was dismantled. If you think about it, the Wall of Weird is a pretty important part of the show...especially in FotW eps so while it was dismantled in Clark's dream, it wouldn't make much sense to do it in real life

Yeah, that's what i thought and was originally typing that same thing in when i thought i'd better double check. On my digiguide and on sky guide they have it down as 7pm and 8pm.
Just taken a look at next week and it's back to 8 and 9pm. Maybe they are just changing it for this week? Don't know the reason why though
