I have all the Alias episodes sitting here just waiting for me to watch them. As soon as I have I can give you an idea of what I thought, but I know quite a few people on here who will be standing up to be counted amongst the 'I think it is a great show' votes

I have heard that it is a proper sequential series in that you need to watch them in order as the plot line carries forward each time, so I can't wait to start watching.

I love it! It's a great programme!

I seem to have a knack of constantly missing it

Its that darn saturday repeat, I end up not watching it on wednesday, but its ok because its on again, then come the weekend i forget

Alias is a very good series but yes, you do have to watch them all as they often finish an episode on a mini cliffhanger.

Saw one episode of this and really didn't like it.

Just took itself way too seriously for me to be able to take it seriously.

i actually think alias is better than buffy, it is my favourite program (along with scrubs) at the moment. really enjoy watching it, don't know anyone else that does though

I know quite a few people who like it, but personally I don't find it that good. I've only watched two and two-half episodes, but the thing that consistently fails me is ease of suspension of disbelief. For none of my favourite shows (Nikita, Scrubs, West Wing, Stargate, Lexx, Buffy, Angel, B5, Millennium etc) do I find suspending disbelief at all dificult, but with Alias (and Dark Angel, Mutant X, Voyager, Enterprise, etc) I always find myself thinking "that's not very realistic".

I love the fact that they finish on a cliffhanger as it makes it that bit different from every other sky programme that tries to hammer everything into the last 5 minutes

Last nights episode was fantastic but as the repeat is on Saturday I'll refrain from posting about it yet

I love this show, looking forward to DVDs of it.

You do need to watch from the beginning - but it is seriously good - but not as good as Buffy or Angel really. It is similar to 24 in that its one long storyline, but 24 is better because it tells you more of what happened before. Still Alias is WAAY better than Mutant X.

I absolutely love Alias. However, have you ever tried to explain the story so far to anyone who hasn't watched? Arrragggh! Its only when you try it that you realise how complicated the plot is. Haven't got bored yet and i adore the super spy outfits and gadgets. yey!

You got my attention. I haven't watched this yet either... I don't have much TV watching time!

But don't worry, I won't be asking you to explain the storyline.

It's not that difficult

Sydney is recruited at college/uni to a top-secret government spy agency, her fiancee is murdered, and she wants to quit, she then finds out that the the top-secret government agency, really isn't a government agency, but a top-secret criminal angency instead, and that they were responsible for the killing of her fiancee..
Her father also works at the nasty criminal agency type thing..
She decides enough is enough and contects the CIA and becomes a double-agent, where you guessed it, her father is also a double agent.

So she spends her time working both agencies trying not to get caught out, which is where the episode tends to end on a cliffhanger every time..

I haven't watched all the episodes yet (Apparently it helps) But I did watch tonights. From what I have seen it is quite a good spycumdoubleagentcumnormallife programme. A poundingly good soundtrack with some excellent moves from young Sydney. Highly recommendable.

I've only seen the one ep of this, which was on this week, and it looked great, but I need to watch the previous ones really to know the history and what not.

To answer my own question ... YES!

First part of a two parter, they make father and daughter work together (and what a team!), get the CIA mob fighting amongst themselves, have McNeil's daughter turn up (you *know* he's gonna investigate that story now), stage a total take-over of SD6 and just for laughs chuck Quentin Tarantino into the mix! The only guy who oozes menace without trying.

I want to see him and Syd square off so badly. I know where I'm gonna be next Wednesday night
