I actually had trouble taking Quentin Tarantino seriously. I mean - 'you don't want me to open the box'? I kept laughing every time he talked about the box becuase it was so stupid. And what did he bring out of the box... Needles that looked like ones an acupuncturist would use. Otherwise it was very good, and Sloane saying exactly what I thought (re: the box) helped as well... so it was a good eppy and it really worked well.
For the most part, I have always found the cliffhangers to be kind of lame and its starting to repeat itself. Another problem I have with it is Syd's friends. They don't add a lot to the story and They don't interact with SD-6 at all, so why bother? Alright so Will Tippin was investigating SD-6 but it really needs to be resolved sooner rather than later. It was intriging to begin with but now its just dull.
One of the strongest points about this show is that you don't have to know the characters. I mean its taken me 7 episodes just to find out everyone's names. The only reason I really know the main characters at all is because they introduce them at the beginning each time.
In summary: Alias good with some flaws
Well, an edit having seen the second part of alias. Safe to say having seen the second part it was a great finish. I managed to Taratino a bit more seriously this time, and it was a great finish - and surprise surprise no cliffhanger. It worked extremely well. I think it also illustrated how much SD-6 is a community, and despite being the baddies you can't help but like the characters.
