I've only just got round to watching this episode
I agree that its a tremendously powerful episdoe, but I did feel that the situation with Lana was surplus to requirements and served no real purpose... oh so the poor girl has just realised that Bad things happen around Clark, give her a gold star
I really wanted Clark to punch Lionel in the hospital. The guy makes my skin crawl.
Small point... Wouldn't Edge have told Lionel about Clark/Kal?
I felt so bad about what has happened to Lex... the way Smallville has handled the fact that he's a good guy who obviously later turns bad is fantastic. I wouldn't be suprised if we see a very different Lex when he comes out of this and I can really see how incidents like this would slowly turn him into Superman's arch enemy in later life. Will he remember seeing Clark stop the car or will he dismiss it as an hullcination?
EDIT: Thought just occured to me. Why did Clark disappear without Lex... He knows that they have been drugging him and that he's not really mad, yet he left him to be taken away by the sanitarium staff. Why? Lex had seen him. he had no more reason to hide his secret.
Sounds like "Asylum" (the next ep) is going to be even better! *really* looking forward to finding the time to watch it
