*Major spoiler ahead*
It was crap.
It was crap.
Apparantly David Borenaz (sp) doent want to do any but the rest of the cast do. But he might comeback when his wallet starts hurting, the majority of the buffy cast havent done much since the show ended.

yeah I liked it as a normal finale, but as the last one ever it was a bit poo. Hopefully they'll do a TV movie at some point which will hopefully be a better way to finish Angel
Surely thats the reason he shouldnt die, the best characters are always the ones with tortured lifes.

Wesley had been saying to Illyria how he had no perfect day and had nothing to live for, and so it seemed logical to me that he should be the character to die - after all, he was scheduled to die in the middle of season 3 of Buffy!
I suppose so...don't get me wrong I was truly GUTTED that they killed Wesley off...he was my fave character on the show! However, the way that the character was going, I could see that killing him off was a sure fire way of 'sharing the pain' that Joss made a point of saying he was going to do. If he was going to make people hurt over the ending of the show, killing off Wesley was certainly the way to do it (for me anywaY )

The execution was appaling. The underlying idea -- that Angel's Charlies fight the good fight for its own sake even though they're doomed to failure -- could definitely have worked. But the idea was a 11th hour addition to a lackluster season, and poorly implemented. The Black Circle (or whatever the heck it was called) had no resonance with the audience. They were a bunch of comedy villains that Angel decides, out the blue, to sacrifice his team to destroy. I had zero investment in any of it, it felt sudden and pointless. And that goes for just about everything, from Lorn turning into Leon to the rediculous Lord Of The Rings ending. I kept waiting for Spike to say, "There be orks, 'undreds of the buggers!"

I'm curious to know what it was the people hated so much about the finale?
same here i loved the final ever ep. it was a good way to end it, open, do they survive dont they!? what becomes or lorn?! great stuff. i hate when final eps tie up everything (much like i thought buffy's did)

OK, so I'm going to go against the grain here and say that it was bloody amazing, and you can all disagree with me all you like . I didn't really know what I was expecting, but I really think that they did a good job with it, certainly in terms of what I was wanting from it anyway.
