The episode of Doctor Who with Medusa in, don't know why but I seem top remember something about donkeys as well . That is a very vague memory, my first strong memory is of ST:TNG Encounter at Farpoint.
What was the first Scifi you remember?
As the title says whats your first strong memory of a scifi show?
Personally I remember an episode of Dr Who where the villain tore of his face to reveal a one eyed alien underneath. I probably saw stuff before that but that really stuck with me.

Of series, I vaguely remember The Outer Limits and Twilight Zone. I guess you could call then sci-fi series, although they were anthologies.
It is probably Doctor Who, but the first scene that really made an impression was from Sapphire and Steel. It was a deserted railway station with a ghostly soldier whistling 'Pack up Your Troubles'. Eerie, and rather sad.
First sci-fi i remember is seeing Luke Skywalker land his X-Wing on Dagobah in The Empire Strikes Back.
I have no idea when or where it was, but i assume it was on telly one christmas or something.

The one that springs instantly to mind is the Doctor Who episode The Talons of Weng Chiang. My best mate in primary school was a massive Dr. Who fan, and this episode more than any other was made famous among our class because of him. I can't really remember it now, but it had something to do with distillating women...
If by show you mean TV then it's the Blake's 7 episode Trial. I'd only just arrived in this country and I was pretty young but still seen enough TV to think I'd figured out the conventions pretty well (heroes never die etc). Then I saw Trial. So, Blake was agonising because one of his crew had died the previous week (huh?) in a futile, failed assault on the Federation HQ (huh?) while this guy Travis was being court martialed and rail-roaded as a political embarassment (huh?) for war crimes (huh?) and making a powerful speech about the duties and responsibilities of a soldier and the responsibility of the system that produced him for any actions he carries out (huh?). Wow. Powerful stuff, and all at 7.15pm!
If it's a more general thing, then, no question: Star Wars. It had me from the opening scenes of the Imperial cruiser pursing Leia's ship!

does Terrahawks count?
If it does then thats mine to, if not then Red Dwarf 4 or film wise its Empire Strikes Back
Tellywise, Doctor Who... I remember hiding behind the sofa and peering around it as the Cybermen invaded.
More generally, it's the original Star Wars- my cousin and I both taped it off the telly the first Christmas it was on, and thought it was so great we had a competition to see who could watch it the most times... must have driven our folks mad, lol.
And yes, I can still remember an awful lot of the script. *grin*

"Enough of this! Vader- release him!"
Oh dear... I am truly, truly geeky and proud of it... LMAO.

Either Star Wars or Dr Who
Does Quantum Leap or Buck Rogers count? lol.
Hmmm, being a veteran of many old BBC 2 Scifi weeknight repeats, this is a tough one; probably one of either ST:TOS, ST:TNG, or Space Precinct... anyone else remember that?
V was mine.
I loved it in an 'I'm-so-scared-I-can't-look-away' kinda way.
Whenever they peeled of their faces or other parts of their skin to reveal their lizard-y scales, I used to scream & hide behind the nearest parent &/or large item of furniture.
I think my parents must have been sadists for continuing to let me watch it

I don't remember much except it was cheesy as hell, but one line from Brogan (?) I seem to remember...
Still, as underrated Gerry Anderson goes, it had nothing on Captain Scarlet!
From an episode of Space Precinct:
Police Captain: What did you shoot him for? You just killed a vital witness! (Or something like that, it's been years since I watched this...)
Brogan: I didn't mean to kill him; how the hell was I supposed to know his brain was in his armpit?!
I used to love space precinct, but i was like 9 at the time, still not the first scifi i watched, i watched a film i don't know the name of where a man was in a forest and he had to stick his hand in holes, in like a tree and some of them would take ur hand off, dont actually now if its a real film, it might be a dream, it might be flash gordon.....

Unfortunatley I DO remember Space Precinct, what were they thinking?
