Yee-hah! I'm happy that the show is going to carry on, as long as the quality doesn't suffer. The only other thing that's in question is O'Neill. Richard Dean Anderson has said in many recent interviews that should SG-1 go on to a ninth season, then he probably wouldn't be doing it. Which would rob the show of a LOT of it's humour. We saw that in the ep "Resurrection", in which O'Neill is apparently off on sick leave- the lack of humour was glaring.
Fingers crossed though- they may simply offer him a frightening amount of money to come back. LOL.
