Ya gotta have Faith?

Joss Whedon (speaking at an anti-Bush party) has said that he's 'salivating at the idea of a Faith show'.

With Tru Calling cancelled, Dushku is now free, so it's certainly possible.

My question is... would you want to see it?

I guess i'd watch it if they make it, but i really don't think they should. The Buffyverse has been flogged to death now, they should leave it be. Unless they took it in a really new direction with lots of new writers, i don't think Faith can carry a show, and i don't want to see 5 seasons more of the same ensemble cast.

Joss should now stick to feature length films and perhaps a totally new tv show.

Other tidbits from this event include Whedon confirming he hasn't been asked to write or direct X-Men 3 and he is working on ideas for a brand new film, combining things from many, many genres. Vague much.

lets just hope something good comes out of the cancellation of all these good shows......

.....i gotta say i was rooting for a faith show initially, i didnt want eliza to do tru calling, but i really got into it in the end.......

a faith show would bring back my (pardon the pun)faith in the tv peeps over in america, cos they're really crap when it comes to maintaining good shows, look at all the ones that have been cancelled

I think a Faith show could be pretty good. It's always been my preferred spin-off idea. A roving Slayer.

I'd like that as well but I think a new character would be better. You could have a new slayer moving around America and stumbling upon undead mysterys she had to solve. You could even have cameo's from the established characters.

Well, going to put a dampener on this straight after I posted it...

Joss Whedon has put his deal with Fox on indefinite hold, effectively closing down his Mutant Enemy production company. He's citing his interest in continuing his film career and, in a very honest statement, he's saying he just doesn't have any ideas he thinks are good enough.

Looking forward to Serenity, be good to see Whedon let rip on a feature film.

i think a Faith show would be quite good, depending on the story-line. i agree that they could have cameos from SOME of the established characters, but i dont know if people like alyson would go for that, as she is doing more film based projects lately. eg american pie. i havent seen her in any show apart from buffy ever. (except Angel of course). Nick might because i havent heard anything about what he's doing lately, and with Eliza not doing anything since tru calling got cancelled i think she would want to do something.
