Paramount have commissioned a script called Star Trek The Begining, which would be a film set before Enterprise, starring all new characters.

This doesnt mean they have agreed to make it just that they are fishing to see if they can find a story worth telling. Even if they went for it, its definitely a couple of years away at least.
