I was thinking more about 'In The Game', with Jennifer Love Hewitt. AH apparently walked out of that show, and it was scrapped shortly after. It's a shame that AH seems to be in 'looking for that right role' limbo at the moment. It would be a real kicker if she made the odd guest appearance in some of the shows that are still around and going strong, like 'Stargate:SG-1/Atlantis'. It's not like she's having a baby with Alexis Denisof, so I guess she just must be picky. Hope she was pickier with 'How I Met Your Mother' than those reviews suggest...

"How I met your mother"
I think BBC are showing it next year; the reviews I read of it have been, shall we say, mixed.
Threshold 1x01 - 1x02
And last Friday another interesting series premiered on US Tv, Threshold. With Bones premiering earlier this week this is the second show that I never heard of until Wobag mentioned them to me, and just as Bones this new series certainly didn’t disappoint.
Threshold is the code name of a worst case contingency plan, which deals with alien contact. When an extra-terrestrial, for lack of better words, piece of Christmas decoration lands in the mid-Atlantic Ocean the U.S. Navy assembles a team of experts to investigate. When they arrive at the vessel that was near the location of the landing site, they find a big part of the crew missing and the rest seems to be dead and horribly disfigured… except one. The survivor tells them all he knows about what happened to him and the rest of the crew, but when 3 people of the expert team watch a video that one of the sailors made of the alien craft they are affected in someway and start to bleed…. Have they also been affected by the alien device, just by watching a video of it? Shamefully time to investigate is something don’t have, as a submarine is closing on their position, so they have to destroy all evidence. When the ship is being evacuated the only survivor escapes and after suffering some major gunshot wounds, jumps into sea where a certain death awaits him, or does it?
When watching the first two episodes of this new series I was so happy that it was a double epper as a cliffhanger at that point would have been so totally mean. The first two episodes really left a good impression with me, somewhat of a mix between Regenesis, the 4400 & Stargate SG-1, which I all loved to start with. The series has an interesting mix of actors which also includes our favorite android – Data – now making an appearance as the medical expert. The first two eps certainly were full with unexpected wrists and turns, keeping you on the edge of your seat at all times. Certainly a series I’ll keep my eyes on for the coming weeks.

So Peter Weller starred, as well as Christopher Goreham, from 'Jake 2', as his son. I see he was also in the 'Buffy' ep, 'I Only Have Eyes For You', as one of the star-crossed lovers, I'd guess, but when I tell the wife that, she says 'Can't remember'. How can anyone not remember what must be in most people's top five 'BtVS' episodes, if for nothing more than Angelus in Spike and Dru's den at the end (if I remember right, he was actually washing his mouth out )?

That scarcely even rings a bell, so no surprise that it didn't return, but now I can look it up on IMDB. 'Space; Above And Beyond' and 'Earth; Final Conflict' are two other shows that did slightly better, at least...
How I Met Your Mother is seriously terrible.

How I met your mother really can't have been the highlight of her career although it aint all as bad as some of the reviews suggest.... yeah it certainly aint great but you only have to sit through 20 minutes of it which I guess is really working in favour of the show
Alyson Hannigan & Charisma Carpenter are currently regulars on Veronica Mars, which scraped through to a second season....
