This was a good episode. Holtz is a really interesting character. Good to see he doesn't tow the line along with the rest of the Wolfram And Hart employees. IMO he could be a bigger threat to them than Angel.
Angel Season 3 : Episode 10
'Mr. Heraldo Angel', proud father of baby Connor
Very nice episode. The gang are well and truly back together again and it's good to see.
And what a pan out group shot at the end. Superb! ... that will *so* be used on the title next season I bet
Holtz ... still like him, and was I reading too much into it, or he is basically training up another 'Slayer'??
Hmmm, Cordy and Angel. As much as it pains me, I can see it coming. Anyone else get that vibe?

Yeah Red, i see it too...
Another good episode.
Angel wouldn't relinquish care of his son (who, by the way, is an utter cutie ) to anyone.. trying to stop his crying, and nothing worked.. Angel's look of disgust at sampling Connor's milk () and i almost fell off my seat laughing at the faces he was pulling to try and make the little boy stop crying... and the vamp face was the one that did the trick... LMAO!...
I too am starting to really like Holtz, and i too saw the similarity to the Slayer/Watcher thing in the graveyard.. his voice is wonderful...
But when everyone was in pursuit of Angel and his "baby" and he threw the "baby" at his pursuers only to see that it was a teddy bear strapped with explosives which of course detonated, was excellent stuff. Hope they buy Connor a new teddy!
And they realised that the Hyperion was being bugged, and Angel burst into the W&H offices to threaten whomever that person was... menacing...
I did enjoy this episode a lot (how could you tell ) and apparently David is going to be a first time father for real in about 6 weeks, so it should've been good practice for him

Great ep! It wasn't so long ago I was in the same position as Angel myself - oh what I would have given for a vamp-face to quieten my baby!
Incidentally - is it just me, or is there a passing resemblance between Holtz and an older, more care-worn Colin Firth???

You know, you're not wrong, now that you mention it... he does have a passing resemblance to him
Now those faces that Angel was pulling, were they grotesque (and really funny ) or what? no wonder little Connor kept on crying

It was an ok episode. I'm still not sure about this whole baby thing though. Was anybody else totally freaked out with Angels vamp face making cooing noises at the baby and grinning
I've got a feeling that baby Conner is going to get on my nerves. Still with any luck they'll kill him off or he'll grow up really quickly and become an adult member of the cast.

Totally. That graveyard scene was so like the one Angel watches with Buffy and Merrick in 'Becoming'. I wonder why though? Does he think a 'Slayer' would scare Angel more? After all, I don't suppose he knows about Buffy

Holtz is definitely shaping up to be an interesting addition though. Any thoughts on whether his drive to vengeance has made him evil, or will he come to realise that he and Angel are now on the same side?
I'm with Miss Edith in hoping that Connor has super-growth, or turns out to be the next Dalai Lama or something and is taken off to be raised by monks....
Am I the only one that thinks that grrry vamps are adorable? Sure, their foreheads are a little bumpy, but they look like iccle teddy bears. Like in season three and they were in the ice rink and Angel didn't want Buffy to see him with game face, I just thought he looked so sweet!
Another great ep. And the whole Watcher/Slayer thing with Holtz and the girl was the first thing that leapt into my mind as well.
Thought the whole play-acting at the Hyperion was very clever (I did wonder what Lorne was going on about with the humming!)
And like Red said, thought the last shot with them all walking away together was very nice. Confirming that they were bacl together as a group, probably even stronger and closer than they were before.
Mind you, I'm glad that Angel finally got Connor to stop crying. It did start to get on my nerves after a while
But, sorry, I still miss the whole Lindsay/Lyla partnerhsip. The new guy just doesn't measure up.

New guy - Gavin. Bit of useless trivia for you here ... he was in 'Charmed' last Saturday night playing *gasp* a bad guy
