I didn't bother with this as I was so miffed with Threshold turning out to be a pile of crap that I just figured it'd be another formulaic monster of the week, up its own arse kinda show!
Invasion
Anyone else watching this series? I'm loving it! It's got a really nice slow burning pace, and the tension which is building very gently is superb. I love the way the characters who have 'fallen victim' shall we say, are still themselves in many ways and seem to be facing an internal struggle with their new identities, which they don't yet understand. The Sherrif is great, William Fichtner is ideal for the role.
This is the first TV programme i've been totally into for several years now I'd say.
So what does everyone else think? My boss is watching it, likes it, but isn't as keen as me.

I was looking forward to this before it started, the trailers looked pretty good. So I sat down and watched the opening triple-bill of episodes on Channel4/E4. But it didn't really grab me. So I haven't bothered watching it again since.
I haven't seen threshold, and I know very little about it, but I gather it's more of a Sci-Fi thing?

Invasion isn't so sci-fi focused, it's more of a Spooky/Survival Horror sort of thing. Think "Invasion of the Bodysnatchers" but with a much more subtle pace to the storyline (it has to be subtle when you consider it has to play out over a whole series). It's also got some of the atmosphere of "The Faculty" but without the ridiculousness of that film. The character development is good too, the characters actually have some depth, and several of the actors are good (The Sherrif and his Wife in particular I think).
Anyway, the last thing it is is up its own arse, it doesn't try to be overly clever, and isn't full of groan-worthy Americanisms or cheese, it's just quietly good. At least so far - afterall, I liked that Stephen King thing for a while then went right off it!
Loving it and love how they are going for the slow burn although the Main Character has got be daft if he hasnt relised whats going on by now, although after the recent E4 episode im not entirely sure the sheriff is in on it all.
So JTB, as you seem to be my only other Invasion compadre on here, how are you liking it?
Last night's ep was really good I thought, it was pretty tense! Action is starting to hot up a bit now, and I like the way various storyline threads are brought back into play. I really look forward to Sunday nights now!

I still like it but at the moment it feels like when I watched an episode ive missed one in between, im all for slow burn but the characters seem to forget what happened in the last episode.
