The Simpsons come to life... and they are British!
A few days ago I found a copy of this clip in the google video archive and apparently in the last couple of days it has been spreading over the internet like wild fire. So just in case you haven't seen it just yet click on the image and enjoy the intro of the Simpsons filmed with real actors! Some things you might notice are that the actors aren't yellow and they seem to be British!!!! Apparently Simpson's maker Matt Groening has approved the human version of the show's opening credits to promote the brand new season of the hit series. I personally thought it was hilarious and very well done, but what do you think of these British Simpsons?Update: The link used in this article might be a bit busy at times as it was also used on sites like Slashdot etc (slashdot effect) so here are some mirrors:

Wow! That's really cool! 
I thought it was very well done. Homer was very well cast, not too sure about Marge or Lisa, but it didn't really matter. I give it two thumbs up!

Updated the article and added some more links as apparently this is a very popular movie and the links I'm using are also used on some big news sites so they are probably getting a lot of visitors. Added mirrors to sites that should be able to handle the pressure a lot better, however the quality of the movies is also a bit lower

And it looks like they actually used this intro in a real Simpsons episode

Just managed to see the finished episode, and I spotted something...
In the original live action, when Marge and Maggie are driving side by side, they are driving a right hand drive car! Why I didnt spot it I dont know, however, on the version used on The Simpsons, they have craftily flipped that shot around so it looks like they are in a left hand drive car.
Sad but I thought youd sleep better knowing
