PSYCH is a new comedy drama on the USA Network which follows the life of Shawn Spencer. Through years of being instructed by his police officer father to note even the most minute details of his surroundings (or being tortured you take your pick), Shawn Spencer has developed a very keen eye for detail.

As a good citizen he puts his sharp senses to good use and even helps the police solve crime by calling in tips. One day however things go horribly wrong. After Shawn calls in a tip on a crime to the police, he is actually accused of committing the crime. To try to clear his name, Shawn convinces the police that he is a psychic and he begins solving cases for the police force.

In a sense this show is very much like Monk but without the compulsive behaviour. Instead they get their comedy element from the main characters actually being very witty. They have also found a nice way of helping the viewers to keep up with the keen eyes of Shawn which means that the keen "couch detectives" can try to puzzle along with our hero's

Luckily for our UK members, who don't have the USA Network, they have gracefully added the Pilot Episode to their website for everyone too watch.

I have really enjoyed the show a lot and therefore give it a 4 out of 5
