Will be checking this one out out of sheer curiosity, the pilot is actually two hours long.
Dresden Files
Its a busy month on Sky in February, and heres one more series to take a look at.
Dresden Files is an adaption of a popular series of books by Jim Butcher about detective Harry Dresden who practices magic. A definite X-Files wannabe, its probably most accurately described as Constantine-lite. This is an american show, but the title character Dresden is played by Brit Paul Blackthorne, best know as one of the bad guys from 24 (Day 3 I think).
From what Ive seen, it has potential, but at the start isnt dark enough, scary enough, funny enough, or different enough to grab an instant following. If it can stop itself falling between several stools, it could definitley be another Charmed, if not another X-Files.
Dresden Files debuts Wednesday Feb 14th on Sky One at 9pm

Sky only seem to be showing an hourlong episode on the 14th, so either they split the pilot in two, or the 'pilot' was actually 2 episodes stuck together for the american debut.
