I have to confess that I didn't like the stuff on New Caprica much although I did appreciate the character development it drove.

I think that BSG has been astonishingly good since they left New Caprica. The last episode of the current season with All Along The Watchtower was stunning.

Conversely I really liked the New Caprica stuff, thought I probably would have tired of it if it had overstayed its welcome.

What Ive not really liked in the 4th season was the increasingly religious perspective taken both by the Cylons, and the human characters alike. Its not an aspect I can really identify with, and find it frustrating, though I can see why they went in that direction.

The first season was brilliant. I think there was only one episode that I thought wasn't strong and that was just cos it was mainly character development. The ending to S1 was great.

S2 started well, although it got bogged down a bit waiting for Adama's come-back. The majority of S2 was good but I felt that it started to lose it's way near the end. Part of that to me is shown by the way they started resurrecting old storylines from the original series (The Pegasus storyline was almost a complete copy). By the end of the series I felt they plonked them all on New Caprica as they didn't know where they were going next. I'll admit the cliffhanger at the end had me hooked however.

The webisodes were good, watchable if damn hard to get hold off in the UK for a while. They didn't overly ruin S3 if you hadn't seen them but they did add a nice bit of backstory.

S3 itself, they dragged out the New Caprica stuff too long. Once they got off New Caprica there were a couple of eps where nothing really happened. Then you had the eye of Jupiter stuff but it all seemed cobbled together to me. The ending of the season just left me scratching my head. I knew they were going to do it, but it makes no sense if those people are the final five. *shakes head* I'll still watch S4 but I hope it's better than S3

Just finished watching "Razor" the newest installment in Galactica. I really enjoyed it, was interesting too see some of the back-story of the Pegasus and I really liked the main character. Story was good and the action was good. Was cool to see old style centurions and hear the old "By your command" line

Still not looking forward to S4 though... I just can't figure out where they're going with it all... god I hope it's good but I have a feeling Galactica has 'jumped the shark'

If the strike goes on too long and the first half of season 4 isn't that good then the second half may just get forgotten.

Yeah and that would be a real shame. Season 3 didn't resonate with a lot of people like the first two did, but even so it was a lot of fun and it'd be a shame if it didn't get a full final season.

looks like we'll be finding out what happens next on 5th april - well, unless you live in the states, in which case it will be the 4th...
