Slow going this year isn't it?

In Fight or Flight, I really liked the introduction of Elle. I never watched Veronica Mars, but I kinda wish I had. The stuff with Matt's Dad was good too, lots of hints at Matt's possible future power. And ooooh, crispy!

The Line wasn't anything special at all unfortunately. Claire and West is bleh, Maya and Alejandro is meh. Hiro and Takezo is pretty good, but it shouldn't have taken so long to develop, they could have done everything in 3 or 4 episodes, easily. I *do* like what they do with Kensei though. Hiro's gonna regret that. Same goes for Peter arriving in the future apocalypse. If that had happened in the first episode, it would have given everything so far some direction.

Aaaand episode 7, Out of Time, was the best so far. The endstage of the virus is suitably grim. We got a great end to Hiro's ancient adventure, although I felt he was a little daft not to realise Kensei wouldn't be dead. I *was* surprised when it was revealed that Kensei is Adam Monroe. I'm sure he's had plenty of time to develop his bitter, twisted pain and it'll be interesting to see where it goes.

So episode 7 was the best yet, but because of the strike, we probably only have 4 episodes left! They better be 4 bloody good ones. With the news that episode 11, the end of chapter 2, has filmed an alternate ending to act as season finale, I hope it doesn't impact the quality too much.
