i watched this last night - was almost impressed, although val kilmer rapidly got on my nerves.
the car is nice enough, but im not too sure about the nano-skin - its a bit too... yeah...

apparently, a lot of people in the US were surprised, nay SHOCKED at the apparent three-some, and the lesbian sub-text - sorry, make that text!
as a standalone film, it didnt really work - as a pilot, well, lets just see what happens this autumn, as apparently its been picked up for a proper season.

also, oddly, it seems that this is totally ignoring the 2 previous sequels - knightrider 2000 and team knight rider appear to have been removed from this 'verse, while the "other" sequel (knight rider 2010) was never anything to do with this except in name.

Definitely enjoyed that. As a movie it pretty much sucked though but as a Pilot it was very good. I must say I was somewhat surprised to see the lesbian bit and the threesome at the beginning, thought to myself "oooh this might be interesting...". But by the end of the movie the ladiesman seems to have been back on his leash and no more lesbian encounters. Oh well I guess you can't have it all.

Although the car did grow on me somewhat I really do not like American muscle cars, and the nano special effects get old fast! But I guess it's just one of those things we have to live with in now special effects like these are relatively cheap.

Will definitely start watching the proper season if it ever gets there but I don't know for how long it will be able to grip me, but who knows I might be pleasantly surprised.

That wasnt bad. Definitely belongs in the 'Baywatch' cheese TV camp than all the 24/Lost wannabes, and resisted the trend of darkening everything.

The car was pretty successful, especially the voice. Not the model of car I would have chosen, but I cared less than I thought. My main concern was that in a post-Transformers world (the film the producers admitted prompted the pilot) the car would be super over powered, and could morph into other cars. So long as chamaeleonic paint, and self repairing bodywork is as far as they go, it will remain plausible.

Traceur is no Knight, but is serviceable, and the supporting cast are varied enough. I hope they get at least one series, as its been hinted that they will explore the fate of the previous KITT at some point, and a 2K/3K team up might be too cool to imagine!

I really enjoyed it too. It's cheesy, but cheesy on purpose in a way that we haven't seen on telly for a while. I'm one that does love american muscle cars, so I think the Mustang is *sweet*.

I hope it gets a tv show because if anything, it will work better in that format, in small doses. Nice.
