Over the weekend I was recently introduced to the new Spider-Man cartoon series that has been running Stateside since March.

Ditching the movie continuity, this instead runs a compressed version of the original Lee/Ditko timeline with Peter experiencing the old high school and money troubles we know and love, but also throwing more modern story elements in for good measure - for instance, Eddie Brock features in a recurring role as Curt Connors' lab assistant, a la Ultimate Spider-Man.

Having seen the first couple of episodes, I'm so far very impressed with what I've seen; it's fast pace, very upbeat, has some great characterisation of classic characters (with some equally great voice-overs - check out that cast list) with a great artistic style.

Has anyone else seen this, and if so - thoughts?
