I voted for Doctor Who. A great series that's survived generation after generation. A close second has to go to The Prisoner though, absolute classic. And Tripods rocked too!

No brainer as far as I'm concerned - has to be Dr Who, too important a show not to be, particularly due to it's popularity outside core genre fans.

Second spot is interesting and tricky, I'm torn between The Avengers, Blakes 7, The Prisoner, and The Tripods; each good & important in their own ways.

For me Ultraviolet, though excellent & enjoyable, just demonstrated that we could do genre shows as well in the 90s as we could in the 70s/80s. We're as good as we were a decade ago, we've just got a budget now & our props aren't made on Blue Peter.

BUGS was thoroughly ignorable, and though the Tomorrow People can't compete in the premier league of British genre TV it dosn't deserve to be languishing (as it is at time of writing) on 0%.

A few shows ommited though, I could easily imagine "other" winning with Red Dwarf, Thunderbirds, or to echo samantha - sapphire & steel.

i completely agree with whoever said red dwarf should be up there. i dont care if it is a sit-com, it is still a damn good show. i love it.
